I agree that the MAJOR reason there were SO many protests about Viet Nam was that nobody wanted to get drafted and crawl wround jungles getting shot at. That's the reason the Bush family pulled strings to get George in the Air Guard. It's ALSO the reason Dick Cheney used EVERY exemption he could find to stay OUT of the army. As far as Marxism...that's crap. I was in college during Nam and NOBODY gave a damn about Marxism. I wasn't part of the anti-war crowd. I actually thought the domino theory made some sense. If we hadn't pulled out there would have been 3 million less Cambodians killed by Khmer Rouge and probably a million Vietnamese would have lived a while longer.
