Looks like we're moving toward the concept of a national ID on two separate tracks that could eventually merge. One route is the new Federal standards for state driver's licenses. The other route is the new biometric ID card being developed for all Federal employees and contractors. The voter fraud issue is yet another reason for moving in this direction.
