Good evening, Coug! Yes, it is so disgusting that dogs are being neglected by our own government and dying of starvation in Iraq. I cannot stop thinking about it!
I have been searching the net for a nice poem about dogs to convey some of my feelings, and could not find the very best one, but now my own dogs want to go cuddle with me, so I will just leave this one here, and wish you the very best new year:
EPITAPH TO A DOG
Near this spot Are deposited the Remains Of one Who Possessed Beauty Without Vanity,Strength without Insolence, Courage without Ferocity, And all the Virtues of Man Without his Vices. This Praise, which would be unmeaning flattery If inscribed over Human Ashes, Is but a just tribute to the Memory of "Boatswain," a Dog Who was born at Newfoundland, May, 1803, And died at Newstead Abbey Nov. 18, 1808.
