Holly!

Too funny! I loved the peaceful scene you described, and I can almost identify the face turned up to me struggling for air...but not quite. I think "it" is a composite of all the things and people from this past summer. Mostly, I did it to myself...too many possessions...too many worries. SIMPLIFY! is my new motto! I've learned my lesson! Thank you, Len!

Now, about our school calendar: school has traditionally started the day after Labor Day for as long as I can remember. California Admission Day used to be a school holiday, but no longer -- at least not in our district.

It's a good thing we didn't have a get-together today. I'm on my way back to my classroom for a few last-minute projects I forgot to take care of yesterday...name tags, journals, etc. Then the rest of the afternoon will be computer work...Parent Handbook updates and newsletter. But, this is my last year in a classroom (at least behind the teacher's desk), unless something drastic happens...like raising the early retirement age to 70. That would be just my luck!

Still hoping we can all get together sometime again soon! Maybe somebody else will have better luck at planning something! Where's Gottfried???

Thanks again for all your good KARMA! Please keep it coming. How are your moving plans progressing? Good KARMA to you, too, for a quick sale and happy move!

Happy Labor Day!

-Pam
