thanks, hc. i've passed that along to some friends who believe the US does little to aid the world. i'm certain the US will get little credit for the work they're doing in this horribly devastated region. the force of nature can be absolutely wicked and unpredictable. we've had temps in the mid to upper 60's (and even into the 70's) in atlanta, but for some reason, i think we'll have hell to pay in the early spring. hope all is well in your neck of the woods. as a side note, if anyone is looking for a means to contibute to aid the tsunami victims, i have a way for 100% of your contributions to reach them. there may be others, but UMCOR (which is an arm of the Methodist Church) has all of its costs funded by the member churches. therefore, 100% of the contributions are going directly to aid the victims...not a single penny goes to running the organization. it's neither politically or economically motivated. if anyone wants details, feel free to send me a pm. i hope everyone is able to somehow, in their own way, help these people recover.
