Violence has plagued almost all Indian elections. The measure of success of Indian elections can now be attributed to the level of turnout, dramatic decline in poll related violence, absence of ballot stuffing as was the case in prior election cycles etc. Imagine that if we had 3 times the population and the logistics involved in conducting the elections. With electronic voting they managed to minimize the problems of the past. Here things tend to be going the other way - by potential "alleged" rigging of the voting machines.

BWDIK - I will be labeled as a hater of GWB for even bringing this up, so I keep quiet :-)
