Absolutely unfair of you. Maurice and GST are just guys like us. They had no reason to be correct in their guess--same as me. Governments of the world had the intel and misread it. C'est la vie.
Also 1400 casualties sound horrific and i dont mean to minimize it. But just as some on the left wonder why the WOT had to be fought at all because the 3000 casualties are just a drop in the bucket compared to the real threats against mankind like tsunamis where 150k just perished, i can throw that right back at the folks who are moaning over 1400 dead in iraq. I wont do that but i will say that it is this admins job to analyse the current situation on cost benefit principles. I think those alone should lead to a reavualation of where we go and the appointment of a new Defense secy to take us there. Mike
