More 802.n11 stuff, FWIW, because, like the song says, it's hot, hot, hot.

Q has job openings in the Mass. office where its MIMO and OFDM efforts are concentrated:

As usual, the Japanese are putting the stuff in the field first--NTT is presently testing 802.11n:

Nokia is an investor in Airgo, which some say is the equivalent to OFDM of what Qualcomm was to CDMA. Airgo, however, was not even mentioned by Harris Nesbitt in its discussion which Data linked the other day.

And indeed very, very curiously, the MIMO and OFDM patents which have been awarded to or applied by Greg Raleigh, Airgo's CEO, have all been assigned to Cisco, not to Airgo. Cisco, however, does not appear to be an investor in Airgo, at least not a public one. Plus, Airgo does not hold a single MIMO patent as an assignee.
What's up with that? Is Airgo linking with Linksys? Any thoughts on why CSCO holds the IPR?

And this is all CSCO [cagily] has to say about wireless in its 10-Q:
The Company refers to some of its products and technologies as Advanced Technologies. The Company has currently identified six Advanced Technologies for particular focus: home networking, IP telephony, optical networking, security, storage area networking, and wireless technology. The Company may identify additional Advanced Technologies for focus and investment in the future, and the Company's investments in some previously identified Advanced Technologies may be curtailed or eliminated depending on market developments.
