Maybe it had something to do with the payoff he took from the Iraqi interests and his subsequent arrests for attempted kiddie diddling.... Many negative things were certainly said about him, but being correct rather trumps being incorrect. On the other hand Chalabi was on the CIA payroll, and how accurate was he?
