Since the MILITIA was drawn up from the PEOPLE they wanted THE PEOPLE to keep and bear arms. How far would you be willing to take that? Logically, you would have to believe that the people should be able to possess any and all weapons necessary to wage modern war. Did the framers of the Constitution think that the people should be able to possess their own cannons, or their own warships?
