As anything else when it's new... tried and true it was not tested and now that the Hybrid has been accepted so has the demand and hence the price increases... Too much for too little. The Lexus new SVU... $ 50.000 .. about ten above the regular model... averages 27 mpg... My Civic gets 33 in city driving. That is with automatic transmission... My Subaru gets 22 in the City and 28 on highway driving.. You know what car turns me on. The Mini Cooper... ? (:)))) Don't know about the mileage but one more sports car before I croak is what I am thinking...
