re: combination of Flash and sram if there was some sort of ram inside the USB drive, then code couldn't be executed by the host processor. I.e. the pentium whatever can't directly execute code from ram in an attached storage medium. if you put some kind of general purpose processing power inside the usb pen, alongside flash and ram, then you have a miniature computer... too much ! B.
