I don't think he sat on the sidelines at all. The talks failed shortly before CLinton left office. 9 months later we had muslim @$$holes flying planes into our buildings. I can tell you right now that the cultures over there should thank Allah EVERYDAY that I wasn't in charge. I'd have blown Mecca off the map and gone on a rampage that took one hell of a lot more lives than have been lost so far. If they have a problem with us then lets sit down and talk it out. But bring bloodshed to my shores, my country, my people and I'm going to deliver a blow thats 10000 times greater with no warning. I wouldn't have used nukes but I'd have bombed every major city that I felt was in a country that funded or aided terror against us. If they want peaceful negotiations - great...lets talk. But if they want to play terror games I'll play on their level and we have the toys to be the ULTIMATE terrorists.
