Good topic! What path ought a people to take? The path where principle and pragmatism can never meet? Or the path where compromise may be justified by outcome? Poverty and powerlessness are not solitary affairs. They affect everything from stolen cars to assaults and illegal lifestyles. A society which gives people hope and meaning will discourage subcultures antagonistic to the mainstream. Countries have enough enemies on the outside. They do not need enemies in their own Nation Family. That is all I will say for the moment just to get things started. I have to drive out of town for a visit for a couple of days.
