I'm a news junkie...Long ago had a quarter class in Propaganda....Learned by an excellent teacher (who had taught in China in the 30's before WW11) how to tell propaganda and slant from the papers....It was just an excellent class, and I believe everyone should be required to take one similar.

Re SFO...The city used to be one of our very favorite places to go. We live in Seattle, and went there at least once or twice a year, plus going to Carmel, and other places in CA. The International Departures and Arrivals areas of the SFO airport was particularly shocking to me that trip. I thought it looked bad when we departed, but hey, everyone can have a bad day....then immaculate Singapore....then home via SFO again...Boy! The return was just a shock to my system!! It was "ground-in-gum and piled-on-dirt dirty...

The next time we went down, went through the regular terminal, and again, dirty, dirty, dirty. Different than just a bad day.... Something was seriously wrong with the cleaning service. It certainly made us not want to eat anything there that wasn't wrapped or bottled, that's for sure. Even called Brown's office, left that message. Didn't hear back from the Mayor. Wonder if the new one is more responsive?
