There was one detail in there that has been nagging at me. It was the bit were, once vaccinated, the vaccinated area for some didn't react normally. As it turned out, those were individuals who were already too infected to be saved. Do you know if that was accurate?

The reason I focused on that was because I am, or was, apparently naturally immune to smallpox. I had fourteen vaccinations over the years, none of which "took." It seems counterintuitive to me that the lack of reaction at the vaccination site could mean both "you're immune" and "you're circling the drain." Do you know anything about that?
