I remember this stretch of road. It makes everyone slow a lot on entering. If you do it at high speed, you take off. As there is a slight bend, if you are in your lane when you take off, you may hit the side before you land. This is why ordinary people are expected to observe speed limits (OK, not exceed them by too much) and drive relatively sober.

Anyone know if it's a legal requirement in France for rear passengers to wear seatbelts?
