cabinetmagazine.org

“After Edison and Tesla, Ericsson was probably the greatest American engineer of his era. Born in Sweden in 1803, he already had thirty patents to his credit by the time he immigrated to America in 1839.”

pbs.org

“Named one of the five greatest engineers of all time -- along with Leonardo Da Vinci and Thomas Edison -- Eads won the admiration of millions and the respect of leaders around the globe. “

icivilengineer.com

“James Buchanan Eads . . . one of the five greatest engineers of all time -- along with Leonardo Da Vinci and Thomas Edison.”

I see Eads, Eison, Tesla, and Ericsson. I don't see Steinmetz listed among the greatest.
