C2-- Good to have you back. Since we are agreeing with Mq these days perhaps more than before, have you altered your view on where this is all headed in iraq? I am thinking realism, fallback positions, preventing real civil war and by helping secure kurds(hopefull with kurd/turk talks to follow) and shiaa(along with iran--perhaps even improving relations with iran along the way). Let the triangle folks fight it out and it is in our interesst for the baathists and foreign jihadists to go after each other and i think they will if shiaa can be protected in some fashion. By the way i am not afraid of a sistani led islamic republic, at least in the short term if yugoarabia starts falling apart. Remember the nursery rhyme, Humpty Dumpty? For better or for worse thats where we are now and hopefully 2 of the 3 pieces can have some tranquility in 2005 while the third piece fights it way out of its current situation. mike
