We were about 1/2 mile behind the Baton Rouge when she made her left turn in front of the Turkish freighter and got nailed. I was actually on the bridge and saw it happen. I was asking OOD WTF are they doing. Someone was definitely asleep.

Anyhow we trail her back to the tender where she tied up. 10 minutes later I hear Captain of the Baton Rouge departing. He never came back even though he wasn't on the bridge when it happened. Didnt' train his underlings good enough I suppose.
