Yiwu, this is the first time that I've read, "In theory, a
(national) sales tax would capture the underground economy, since all wage earners have to spend money to live."

Many older people object to this proposal because they live
on SS and savings which have already been taxed when earned.

With your excellent sources, do you have an up-to-date on
the administrations' plans in this regard. Thanks.
