Snow, that is true. But the volume of those floating ice cubes, after melting, cannot be bigger than the difference of the mass between the same volume of ice and water. Let's assuming:

V1 = volume of water melted from ice caps
V2 = volume of water in the waterbody that has been displaced by ice

If V2=V1, the waterbody surface will be kept the same; V2>V1, the water surface will rise

In case of global warming, V2 > V1, so the sea level increases.
