"I've known of people coming back from the dead after the doctors gave up and left the room." I don't know what that has to do with prayer, but...great. I've seen lots of dead people (tons in fact, I worked right ouside a morgue many moons ago) and none ever came back to life. I've watched people die miserable deaths praying for their lives. I've watched more than one parent vainly pray for the life of their dying child (go to any pediatric ICU, their filled with praying parents). I prayed in vain for the life of my late wife who died before she was 30. I'd bet a lot of the dead people in Indonesia prayed for their lives and the lives of their soon-to-be-dead children too. I guess you and your miracle making friends pray harder than the folks I know.
