The question you should ask yourself is whether mandela, israelis, etc ever targeted innocent civilians.

Of course they did. Do you know nothing about 1948 in Israel and the ANC's history in S. Africa?

The Stern gang never ruled israel and the ANC never rule South Africa.

David Ben-Gurion was implicated by Rabin in the ethnic cleansing of Lod (50K Pals kicked out), Rabin himself was one of the Irgun gang doing it. Begin was the leader of Irgun IIRC (Irgun and Stern where responsible for Deir Yassin massacres). Many of these leaders in 1948 became PM's of Isreal or held other high offices. Rabin later was killed by a right wing nut for his peace efforts. Talk about rewarding terror!

The ANC waged a long and bloody terror campaign against the white government of S. Africa. Mandela was the head of the ANC and became the PM of S. Africa.

The question to the pals was when they were not targeting civilians

They target the military as well.

Now with Abu Mazen, there is an opportunity. I hope this former terrorist becomes a hero to both the pals and the israelis.

I couldn't agree more, this is my entire point. We need this attitude with Libya, Cuba, N. Korea, Iran, etc. Too many on the right want to fight wars to achieve "justice" for past crimes. That usually just breeds another round of the same.
