Not one of these movements you mention had terror lifted to the status of religion as the pals and al quaeda have. Sure we should take advantage of the opportunities presented when folks return from beyond the pale.

You may have a point there, but I think that has more to do with victory as opposed to remaining the underdog. If S. Africa were still white ruled, there would still be extensive terror going on there. If Israel was still under British rule, we would still have Jewish terrorist. Does this not make sense to you?

Libya is an example of Islamic terror that is being brought around because the leader came to see it as a better way to protect his legacy. We need to work that angle more.

I'm definitely keeping my fingers crossed on the Pal behaviour for the rest of this month. If things go moderately well there, it just might be enough of a catalyst to help pull Iraq out of its spiral.

BTW, you often write about a three state solution in Iraq. What do you think of Turkey and Iran giving up some land to make a robust Kurdistan? I wish the world would work towards that goal.
