To Bill,

What a nice little girl, she's dropping her suit.

LOS ANGELES (AP) - The model who says Dodi Fayed jilted her for Princess Diana is dropping her $440,000 breach-of-contract lawsuit against him out of respect for his family, her lawyer said Monday.

Kelly Fisher has not left her home since learning that Fayed and Diana were killed early Sunday in a car crash in Paris, said her attorney, Gloria Allred.

``She's shocked. She's been crying. She is emotionally drained,'' Allred said. ``She has decided to forgive Dodi Fayed for the past injustices he inflicted on her and to go on with her life.''

Fisher, who lives in Malibu, had sued Fayed claiming, among other things, that he offered her $500,000 to shift her career so that she could spend more time with him, but then gave her only $60,000 and a $200,000 check that bounced.

``Had Mr. Fayed lived, the action would have been vigorously pursued and vigorously litigated,'' Allred said. ``The loss of Mr. Fayed changes everything for Kelly.''

Allred also said Fisher plans to keep a $233,000 sapphire and diamond ring given her by Fayed. Fisher considered the gift an engagement ring.

A Fayed family spokesman has denied that Fayed ever promised to marry Fisher.

Allred said Fisher would have liked to attend Fayed's funeral on Sunday, but it happened too soon after his death for her to travel to London.

``I don't know if she would have been welcome, but it would have helped with her closure,'' Allred said.

HARLEY.
