Hell no! It was a toad! Those suckers are meaner'n a rattlesnake and'll chomp down on you like a pit bull. They'll run you down (actually, hop) and sink their teeth into you and hang on! Once they latch on there ain't no shakin' em loose, either! Do you mean to tell me that Californians don't have watchtoads in their yards?
