First, not everyone who attended Long March walked 25,000 Li, only those who started from RuiJin, JiangXi Province;

Second, Red Army did not follow a straight route like those two Brits did<g>. Oftentimes, in order to avoid the Guomingdang's army and airplanes, they had to walk the same route for multiple times, such as crossing ChiShui for 4 times, that alone would add 800-1000 Li on distance.
