My girlfriend has been a dancer at Ricks for almost a year now and many of our friends also work there. Aside from the company not being capable of paying their employee's credit card earnings they seem to be having problems paying the d.j.'s salaries. They only have two d.j.s who are working ten hour shifts with no overtime pay and no breaks (unless you count the minute and a half before the next cd is put on}. Both d.j.s have asked management for a relief d.j. to cut down the hours of the shift to eight. One of these men has even offered to pay half of the relief d.j.'s salary out of his own pocket and has still recieved no response from management. Robert Jones, the club's general manager is the only manager with the authorization to make any of these decisions but it is such a rare find to see him and when he is there he is not coherent enough to remember anything he has promised and shucks the responsibility off on the other managers working and is impossible to reach by phone according to other mangers at the club, so besides being there maybe once a week during operating hours, he does not even handle the problems effecting the club like a General manager of a multi million dollar buisness should for instance the examples set above, being drunk etc...

Please understand I am not trying to slam the club in any way other than it is not handled like a real buisness should be, between managment and the owner Robert Waters the club has a lot of problems other than financial although on paper it might look good, I am sure we have all seen things look good on paper but in actuallity there are many hidden problems. People who work there and from what I have observed some customers also are not very happy with the way things are beng handled there.

As far as how Ricks measures up to other clubs I do think they do well in comparison as to what some of the other clubs in Houston have to offer but as an investment I am sure that I would not even consider it because I know of the real problems there and the fact that they are expanding does not really mean much when they don't actually have the funds to do it and what I personally feel is they are using employee money to handle their financing and that is why there seems to be such problems with employees getting paid properly. I don't believe that the club in Houston is going to last and that might be the reason for expanding and the reason why employees are being walked on and mistreated. You could easily say YEAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! we have 3 clubs now but how long before it is back to 2 and then what? The only people losing is the investors not the owners.

Keep in mind if employees are not happy because of reasons like not getting paid like they are supposed to for money they have earned and are understaffed to cut corners then the customers are not going to be happy either and the next thing you know it's a failing buisness although it may seem like it is not possible considering how long Ricks has been around but the signs are already showing because these problems did not use to be there.

Just one more thing before I feel like I am rambling about the same thing over and over. With all the stocks you could invest in why would you choose Ricks? It really does not have much to offer in terms of growth or and the people in charge have yet to do anything for shareholders on the positive side.

If you have any other questions I will try to keep answers a whole lot shorter for you.

In whatever you do as always
Good Luck
