The salient question is "why was there such intense competitive pressure to dig into President Bush's National Guard service, but no competitive pressure at all to dig into the many unanswered questions concerning Senator Kerry's military record - those three separate citations, the delayed discharge, etc? That is, if political bias was not a factor.
