I think, Selectric, that if you read my post you would see that I wrote what IMUS was saying. He was very upset with the whole mess and said it reflected on all of journalism,honesty and accurate unbiased reporting.However, it was he who said that Dan Rather had not read the script having just returned from the convention and hurricane coverages and had not had time to read. He defended Rather while condemning the whole mess and those involved.

Now as an aside, I have always said that I have respected Dan Rather. Having lived a lot longer than you I am aware of the good that man has done throughout his journalism career and I don't flush the baby down the drain with the bath water..
