The low volume of TNH trading indicates that Terra is not accumulating TNH stock. The TNH stall may be caused by the following. The price of natural gas continues to rise on the futures market. The high price of gas hurt TNH in the recent spring quarter and would lower its earnings in the future quarters. However if el nino comes as anticipated everything changes. Because we would get a warm wet winter in eastern USA which could depress natuaral gas prices. Also el nino would bring increase in US exports of wheat, soy, and corn. Because crops in the the global southern hemisphere would suffer. Already there is a drought in Australia. Indonesia is threatened. And areas of the Pacific ocean are warming - to an alarming extent. There are predictions that global weather will be similar to 1982-83; the year of the last great el nino. If you access Dow Jones read from Wires in R/FE the article from Australia In Deutsche Presse-Agentur or/and the article in Commodities Corner- Barron's latest issue -9/1/97. We had a little el nino in 1994-95 , I believe, and that was very good for TNH throughout the full year of 1995.
