I think whatever happens militarily in Syria will not be on a grand scale. Punitive, yes, but not sufficiently so as to provoke anything large.

I think whatever happens in Syria, if it involves our Armed Forces, it will be a definite expansion of the war.
And that expansion will generate two new very complicated questions:
What is our exit strategy from Syria?
Where does the war expand to next.
