It worked in Kenya, and five southern african states. I'll agree that it was generally ruinous to the countries other than in obtaining self rule for the majority (and only in some sense of that)


If you call that working. In places where it worked at all, the leadership took some thought not only to what they were trying to destroy, but what they were trying to build. The Palestinian leadership, which has always worked at the behest of the other Arabs, not the Palestinians, has never cared to build much of anything.

Also, no matter how many times they repeat it, and how much they deceive even themselves when they call Israel an exercise in Western colonialism, Israel is not a colony and the Israelis (most of whom descend from Jews kicked out of the Arab countries) have no mother country to return to. This does make a difference.
