Monitor Help
I want to add a second monitor to my computer

I am looking at a multiple alternatives

Princeton senergy 914
pcmag.com

HP L1955
pcmag.com

The latter was editor's choice about a year ago it seems

Video and gaming are NOT any priority at all.
Clear charts and text and photo images (still images) is paramount.

It does not have to be a flat panel, but it sure seems technology is headed that way.

In a regular CRT something like a NEC FP2141SB 22 inch monitor would seem to be OK

I am not sure if I would want anything to do with IBM
but I will toss this into the ring

Currently I have a IIyama VisionMaster 450 and have been pleased with it.

Here is an IIyama model I found
reviews.cnet.com

Not sure how to compare those for my needs.

Finally.....
1) what software/hardware do I need to run two monitors at once on one PC
2) I assume mixing FP and CRT is not a problem
3) I prefer to have a USB connection on my next monitor
4) As stated above Video and gaming are NOT any priority at all.
Clear charts and text and photo images (still images) is paramount.
5) Recommendations? - Looking for $600 monitor or less (more or less) I do not want to skimp if an extra $75 or so will get me something special but it I can save $200 on something very close to the top end I would like to do that too!

My PC is a DELL precision 330 workstation
Windows 2000 professional service pack 4
256MB RDRAM

THANKS!!!
