Without a screen you scroll blind on the songs. With 240 songs that's going to be a pain in the neck if you are trying to find one song to play. Exactly, this has always been the problem with most DVD players that claim they can play MP3 CD but then have no way of displaying ID3 tags which is a must. I think Apples marketing dropped the ball of this one. I really can't see any reason why anyone would want this when they are many similar designs already out there. The price is nice and hopefully bring down prices on competitive models. The IPOD took off because of it large clean display which raised the bar to all of the other players. this model doesn't ever equal the competiton in player design. Also I was very disappointed Apple didn't have the forsight to make it capable of added more ram in the futre as it continues to get cheaper. A few models already have this. But of course that doesn't mean it will be cool to have for those who want the latest gizmo. Time will tell
