I had the impression most of folks have gotten the idea of intels gameplan already from AMD's warning the day before.

Elmer keeps insisting that Intel goes about their business w/o a care re. AMD and AMD's (lack of!) well being. Obviously it's not obvious to him!

but Andy said he could not predict if Comm will be back in the black in 2005, so it is easy to connect the nodes.

Yup! Intel NEEDS to keep looking like a winner in the CPG biz- regardless of the "other" segment.

I'm surprised that everyone's bought the 65nm ramp is depressing GM's! How many nodes has Intel brought up before with continuing increasing margins!

AMD needs to get RID of flash and FAST! Selling to Samsung would be a beautiful jujitsu move! It will immediately remove the commodity leverage that Intel has over AMD as well as transfer control of it to Samsung. They can play the pricing game with Samsung all decade long.
