We do cross paths if you live in the woods. I also lived in the woods, although much later than my vegetarianism quest. In a tent, on a wooden deck (fashioned from pallets), with solar panels and batteries for 12 V. power (lights, radio, television) and a woodstove.
I initially began dropping the meat based diet in college when I was reading much about diet, environmental and health costs to meat production etc. Of course, the animal suffering and exploitation did not sit so well with me either.
I agree, any movement towards an environmentally conscious diet is a step in the right direction.
A little bit each day, we evolve, hopefully.
