"... is the name calling. Dem/Lib Bush hating moron.. Where is reason and openness for dissent. That was once a great American tradition. Not everyone has to agree." It is one thing to compare and contrast, complain about events that are impacting us all, express dissension over decisions that are being made ... vs out and out slander based on rumor, innuendo, mendacious logic, and unfounded conspiracy theory. That is where I noticed much of the name calling, which I saw as no less offensive than the agendised slander that it was pointing out. We must return to serious problem solving, challenging the political authority on the basis of actual issues and problems, and moving toward change and renewal that includes a consideration of liberal democratic ideals and an awareness of conservative safe guards. The hateful rhetoric being exchanged in political camps is a barrier to progress.
