I couldn't disagree more. Social Security is suppose to be a forced retirement program not welfare. In 2004 I had to pay $10,900 into this ponzi scam. I highly doubt I will ever see any of this money.

Right now I'm paying 35% to the Fed, 9.3% to Arnold (State), 2.9% into Medicare, and you want remove the ceiling on SS so that would add another 12.4% - for a total of tax rate of 59.6%.

That still doesn't count the 13k of property taxes I pay per year or the sales tax or the myriad of other taxes I pay. I would easily be paying 67% of my income in taxes.

We're already getting to the point where I am considering moving out of this country.
