Larry,
AAPL has done very well over the past year, but it's no longer a computer company. DELL leads the market with over 30% market share. Where does AAPL rank? Dead last at about 3%.

The iPod has been the driving force behind the company's success and the Street loves it right now. As with many darlings on the street the luster will fade at some point. The continued exponential growth of the wildly popular music player is questionable. With competing players being introduced at a rapid pace, the iPod's market share could fall, and so too could the stock price.
With increasing competition it will be interesting to see if Apple's lead will continue. IF the iPod falls in sales what will the company have in the pipeline to be as popular?

"I doubt that this is the stock peak"

You're probably right. I would be surprised to see it go much higher. But that doesn't mean its value is really worth much higher prices either. So why are you not a buyer?
