Mary, it's nice to see we agree. I know the feeling about the weirdo who doesn't know anything about rugby [and many things]. But I always found I could get along anyway.

Being an individual does require quite a bit of character and revolutionary fervour.

Most people like to herd like sheep, hence sheeple [or sheople] and express their individual minds in the same way that sheep do. Baaaaa.... Okay, that's an exaggeration, and to some extent, we are all the same [I use English for example and plenty of cliches]. We do have to stick together, more or less and to some extent. But too many people think we MUST be mindless clones and obey some muckity muck egocentric megalomaniac on pain of death. It's just large-scale chimp tribe thinking.

I've joined big tribes, such as BP Oil, Texaco and act.org.nz because group action is the only way to go for some purposes. I'm advocating a huge one - the New United Nations, or United States of the World. Here's how Neocon thinks it should happen: Message 20945738 He agrees that it's a good thing - we just disagree on the how to and perhaps the final form, and intricacies of the constitution.

Mqurice

PS: I'm all for violence at times but have rarely in my life found that violence was the best idea. But when attacked by a criminally-intent thug, I know that violence is sometimes the only answer. That's nature at work. Fleas only know force and so do plenty of humans. Maybe that's the dark side you mean. I don't feel I'm harbouring malevolence or a thieving attacking nature.
