Rockyford on StormCat (sme.v) Should have sold on Tuesday when the stock made a new high and closed lower on the day...Instead I add some yesterday about where she closed on Thursday...All the indicators are in retreat. There are negative divergencies with price in a number of the indicators, STOS PPO, DMI, RSI Ultimate....All looks like this failure over $6 will lead to a decline I'd bet to the low $4s... Weak close Thursday while energy was strong is another negative...Looks like we're about to break uptrend lines that come in around $5.20 which I'll wager will lead to a spill of about $1, though $4.50-60 might hold it... SARs are included in the chart...here's a good example of how this indicator gets one out when a trend is broken but doesn't signal the reentry until a higher price than the exit has been established...SARs are right up under the lows of Thursday...another troubling indication of lost momentum... stockcharts.com[h,a]dbcayyay[dc][pc20!h.02,.20][vc60][iut!lb14!ll14!lc20!lp14,3,3][j42286882,y]&listNum=1 Bottom Line...I'm off balance in this one...should have been selling Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday...Will most likely liquidate significant portion of holding on Friday, despite my vow to make this a long term hold...current technicals say the stock has had its run for a while...dead money for a period at a minimum.... Fundamentals trump technicals...the right announcement would send this one higher but the technicals say the good news is in the price....
