Arthritis is a $500-million-a-year market in Canada, and Pennsaid, which was approved by Health Canada in 2003, is now capturing about 2 per cent of the market, said Laurence Downey, president and CEO of Solvay. "We have the potential to at least double that in 2005." Perhaps insight in what current sales might be. I doubt this applies to Q2, but more likely applies to Q3, now in progress. I'm guessing Mr Downey is talking about annualized sales. $10 million Canadian = 2% market share of $500mm market $8.322 million USD = $10mm Cdn * 0.83222 fx rate $2.081 million USD = $ 8.32 mm USD / 4 quarters This is great new information. Also Mr Downey is projecting potential to capture 4% market share or $4mm USD per quarter in a years time.
