Well opinions and approaches to mining profit and production can and do differ. From your comment I surmise you are emotionally involved when it comes to GLG and perhaps mines in general.

However, altruism and mine management are a tough to impossible mix – some folks are perpetually offended by miners regardless of what is done.

Returning to the subject at hand, I doubt the Guatemalan situation is much more than orchestrated theatrics designed for increased payoffs to local authorities. Certainly, socio-economic turmoil in Guate should be no surprise to anyone familiar with the local folks – that’s how it’s done.

This news is a concern and should cause some to invasion muslim-like terrorist trash in Guate. Presumably, those folks will head for the exit door and provide a supply/demand imbalance opportunity for those with cajones. The risk-reward seems to favor buying on this dip and I envision a rapid recovery. Then again, but less likely, we could see a rapid drop to a more comfortable PE ratio followed by a long-slow recovery. Who knows?
