Yes, "circumstantial evidence" seems apt to me. That's about all it is. If evolution is true, it presents no problems to any beliefs I hold. I think evolution is eminently consistent with intelligent design and/or the existence of God. IMO the idea that there is a process in nature whereby living things relentlessly progress to higher orders and greater perfection is a magnificent belief. I would turn from that to the question of the origin of such a process.

All I have been saying is that there are glaring holes and gaps in evolution theory, one of which is the lack of abundance of transitional examples (which even Darwin said should exist).

We started this with the question of whether evolution should be taught in the schools, and it's fine with me that it is, as long as the lack of its proof is acknowledged and that the competing explanation of creationism is introduced as well.
