Joe, Bruce, & A.J.,(OFF TOPIC)
I do know this. After 9 years struggling in the minors, I thought it was finally one of the few class acts the Reds have done since the advent of "Schottzie". Petey plays the game the same way his father did. While Pete Sr. played hard everyday in glamourous places in front of thousands, Petey did the same thing in one-horse towns in front of hundreds and never gave up his dream to wear his dad's number in the big leagues. He took the field to a thunderous ovation. I am by no means a psychologist but somehow I felt the ovation was for the name Rose and for the way the number 14 did his work everyday (on the field). Petey immediately went to the back of the third base bag and, in the dirt, printed the number 4256. He has done this every game for 9 years in the minor leagues in tribute to his dad. When he lined a single in his second at bat the place exploded. They showed a close-up of Pete Sr. sitting in the front row. Tears were visible and it was quite a moment. So that brings us to a total of 4257 for the Rose family. Have not checked Bobby & Barry Bonds nor Gus & Buddy Bell but they would be two that come to mind but I have a hunch that a Rose is a Rose is a Rose.
ON TOPIC---Had a call last night concerning DCI. I will be getting a copy of a fax (hopefully sometime this morning) concerning a story in Wireless (Something or Other) Magazine. Forgot the actual name. It concerns something about the program combining the Privilege Card with the Pre-Paid Cell and the free cell phone. If what I hear is true we could be in for some fun. Will try my very best to get the information as soon as possible as I don't have a working fax and will have to have it sent to my bank and then go pick it up.
