I have a bit more hope than the author and yourself. I gave Abu a pass while he was electioneering. This is the first serious test. If he plays the game as arafat did, he will do nothing to reign in terrorism and then rely on the euros to make his case re: poor, starving Pals. Sharon wont fall for this and neither will Bush; and Powell who seems to sometimes buy into this will soon be out of office. You and Marcos spent two days arguing the roots of the conflict. I maintain that its roots have little meaning at this point. We are where we are and the ball is in Abus hands. Mike
