Few nations contest Israel's legitimate interests in the pre 1967 Israel.

False. Most Arab countries, and Iran, do not recognize Israel inside any borders. Nor does Hamas, of course, unless one is writing for the New York Times. Nor does Abu Mazen's Fatah, according to its new head Khaddoumi, or the Al Aqsa brigades. While Israel was still inside the 1967 borders, not a single Arab country recognized it.

If they really recognized Israel as a permanent country, they wouldn't be trying to get the "right of return" for 5 million "refugees" to that other, permanent country. No nation builder wants his nation's people to wind up in some other country. Is Germany lobbying for the "right of return" to Koenigsburg so that millions of Germans can become Russians? Of course not.
