I dont see how Medicare can ever be CUT, cause insurance companies just do not wish to insure older people for any reasonable premium. Without Medicare our hospitals would be over burdened by uninsured persons likely putting many of them out of business. Perhaps the premium can be raised, even doubled would still make it reasonable but to eliminate the program would spell disaster for the nation. jdn
